In which Louise and Steve drive back road highways to Asheville North Carolina and back taking photographs along the way. While in North Carolina they visit friends over the Labor Day weekend. Taking leave, they drive back to Indiana, again taking photographs on their drive home.

Our Itinerary
Wednesday 10/02/2009 Driving South, we make our way along route 31 past Indianapolis to our evenings stay in Vevay (pronounced Veevee) where we have a wonderful evening with wine and prawns at the Rosemont Inn.
Thursday 10/03/2009 Leaving Vevay we travel south toward Daniel Boone National Forest.
Friday 10/04/2009 Leaving Mountain Springs Inn and Sand Gap, KY we drive south through Daniel Boone National Forest and on to Asheville.
Saturday 10/05/2009 We visit the River District in Asheville where artists have studios. We look at art, talk to artists, and even buy art!
Sunday 10/06/2009 We spend the afternoon at Yellow Branch Pottery and Cheese visiting with longtime friends of Gary and Jim. Most wonderful pottery and cheese!
Monday 10/07/2009 We have lunch in Hendersonville, then later we enjoy a goat and curry dinner at the neighbors, Bob and Stuart.
Tuesday 10/08/2009 We leave Asheville and head north headed for Indiana and home, stopping overnight again as on our drive down at the Rosemont Inn. The second time as enjoyable as the first.
Wednesday 10/09/2009 Departing Vevay and the Rosemont Inn we follow the Ohio River a bit and then turn north toward Columbus, New Carlisle, and home. WE pull into our drive at 3:30 Central time.
